Daniel Ochieng is the global representative for the Kenya Green Universities Network; he is charged with the responsibility of planning and implementing all the activities of the network that bring together over 60 universities in Kenya, whose combined efforts have a positive impact on achieving sustainable development.
KGUN is the functional network of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Kenya to incorporate environment, low carbon – climate resilience development strategies, and sustainability aspects in their education, training, campus operations, and enhanced student engagement.
Daniel sits on boards of numerous higher education institutions in Kenya, and East Africa meant to empower the youth on issues of awareness and empowerment. Among the institutions include the Wanafunzi Investment Unit Trust Fund that brings together 74 institutions to deliver an easy to use investment platform and The Malmar Knowles Family Foundation; The Kectil Program (Atlanta, Georgia), where he is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the Strategic Plan of the organization to support Youth development programs in 72 developing countries around the world.
